National Speed Inc. kicked off the start of 2010 with a bang! Our first Dyno Day of the new year featured our own local UNCW Car Club and was a tremendous success with a fantastic turn out! Have a look through the great people, cars and of course speed girls caught on film!

On Saturday, June 27th we attended E.A. Laney High Schools annual car show. We had a great time at the event talking to the crowd of automotive enthusiasts! On June 6th we were a proud sponsor of the Corvette Car Show at
" Broadway at the Beach."
Dispite the questionable weather and cloud cover the turnout was great! Thanks goes out to the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club for making it happen and we hope to be there again next year. Here are a few pictures from the event.

We'd like to thank the Sun Coast Cruisers for choosing National Speed to host another one of their cruise-in events. The weather was nice all evening for the club and they packed the parking lot with beautiful classic cars. The Sun Coast club never fails to amaze us with their awesome rides and nice members.

This is the second time we've been involved in this show and we plan on being there again next year too! Over 100 cars packed into the show. National Speed attended the "Harleys & Hot Rods" car and motorcycle show at the New River Harley-Davidson. The turn out was great and the weather was HOT. Our display consisted of a few boosted Mustangs (Thanks WOT Mustangs for coming out with us!) and our turbocharged 350z ;) A big thanks goes out to management at New River Harley, make sure to check out their website NR-Harley

This year we sponsored the "Rims on the River" Car Show in downtown Wilmington. National Speed was proud to be part of such a fun and successful event! The streets were packed with BEAUTIFUL classic cars and the weather was PERFECT. Thousands of people attended, so if you missed it this year make sure to check it out next time! National Speed was in Mayfaire for the Premier of the newest "Fast & Furious" movie. We had a few cars on display in front of the theater (two turbocharged 350z's and a Buick Grand National) and enjoyed food & drinks courtesy of Fox & Hound (Thanks for having us!) Our one year anniversary event had a HUGE turnout and we'd like to thank everyone that attended! It all started with a Meet/Dyno-Day at the shop, which turned out to be our biggest event so far. Things got so hectic that a few of us had to be in charge of "parking duty" all day to keep things under control. The "after party" took place at Market Street Saloon and consisted of penny draft all night and live music from The Noseriders and Soul Shine. Thanks again to everyone that came out, we look forward to doing this again next year!

This event had everyone excited, mainly because there were a couple trucks making over 800 horsepower and 1000 foot pounds of torque. Two trucks even maxed out the dyno's torque reading and put down OVER 1500! The diesel trucks kept everyone entertained on this day, and our new "Speed Girls" were a big hit as well.

It was a hot and humid day at New River, but it was well worth the trip to watch the seasons fastest race. At lunch a storm rolled in and cooled everyone off with a downpour. We cooked hot dogs and hamburgers and drank LOTS of water. By the time lunch was over with the rain was gone and it was time to get back to racing.

We had a great turnout for the NC Dubs Dyno Day on June 14th with NC Dub members from all over showing up to take part in the dyno insanity. Our technicians and tuner completed over 12 dyno pulls for the day - no easy feet in 90 degree heat. Check out the pics below, and go to www.ncdubs.org and hit up their website for more info.

On May 24th National Speed hosted the Cape Fear Z Club's Dyno Day. As usual hamburgers were inhaled and although the weather was a little iffy (it's required by NC Law that it rain every time the Cape Fear Z Club has a meet) a good time was still had by all. Thanks to everyone for coming out and making it a great day!

Our grand opening event on Saturday, May 3rd was a huge success thanks to the awesome support of our customers and the generosity of ESPN Radio, Surf 98.3 and all of our friends at Next Media, as well as American Tire for donating a set of ICW-tuner wheels for our raffle.
